Artist Statement
This video project came into ideation from the movie Monsters inc. In this movie there is a scene where Sulley and Mike are running away from Randall and run through doors to escape him. With each door they enter, they enter a different scene and have to run to another door to escape where they then enter another scene. With that I wanted to somewhat emulate this idea. To incorporate the animation idea, I decided that my character would go into various animated spaces. The feel of this video is meant to focus on an everyday scene. The character is just going about their day, and suddenly gets trapped in these animated environments. Each space is meant to be colorful yet ominous. This is shown through the shapes and color schemes used but combined with somewhat creepy music. In the end it may be harder to escape these environments than expected.
